Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent all-around course This is one of the better TGC courses out there. Well researched, well presented, theoretical, yet very practical. The professor delivers with wit and charm. Bonus points for having this course presented in full-body presentation mode, rather than the awful-yet-increasingly-commonplace presentation mode of "man's head talking into camera" that TGC editors are increasingly opting for these days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worthy to take notes After listening to the 24 lessons in audio, I decided to check them all again in video to take notes. It's amazing how much I've learned and, to be honest, I hope I'm not the only one who did this. Being better at taking decisions can contribute to anyone and we always make decisions so it's more than important to inform ourselves about it. Thank you for this course!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why the ice cream calls your name at 11:00 PM! A fascinating study about human decision-making. It covers why some decisions seem easy, others difficult and some insurmountable. Professor Hamilton introduces dozens of examples of psychologists and market researchers testing unsuspecting subjects to determine how and why we make the choices we make. By the end of the course, you should have a much greater insight into which decisions are worth agonizing over, how to make more “informed” decisions, hooks used by advertisers and sales personnel, and those infuriating skewed questions found in political surveys. The course is upbeat and the professor closes with a graceful summary of "The Four 'R's" to provide a convenient checklist - Reference, Reason, Resource, and Replacement. I watched the video course and enjoyed all the graphics and Professor Hamilton’s sometimes gleeful demeanor. The guidebook is great. It includes most (if not all) of the case studies and rationales. When wanting to review a subject several weeks later, it is very easy to flip open the book and find the relevant material rather than searching the entire 30-minute video.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Intermediate course on social/ decision psychology This is an excellent course for those with a foundation in basic psychology who are interested more about the mechanisms of human decision making. Like most top tier business school behavioralist marketing professors, he is a talented presenter who knows how to translate basic insights into action. His lectures give a broad introduction into foundational research which interested learners can access elsewhere.
