Rated 5 out of 5 by from Interesting pilot! I have been working exclusively from home since 2018 (basically before COVID) and quite comfortable with it. I would say, this pilot look at the ethics, etiquette amd do's and don'ts in the workstyle we all now accustomed to in great detail. Thanks Wondrium for this short!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quick Overview of Netiquette Between my personal life, work & school, I've seen a lot of examples of poor netiquette (me included). I'd recommend this lecture to anyone who communicates electronically whether that's email, social media, or video conferencing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great refresher on basic business etiquette This is titled as for the Virtual World, but could benefit from a title change because we think of video interaction as virtual but it encompasses more than video meetings to what we more generally think of as digital. Even pre-pandemic, email etiquette has been on the decline, which is most surprising in the business world. Ms. Swann delivers the content in a professional manner. I highly recommend viewers come to the content with an open-mind, willing to critically think about areas of improvement in their current behaviors. I'd love to see more from her in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This person really knows what works. As a former CIO and now technology consultant, I didn't expect much meat from a class like this. But I was wrong; this class should be mandatory training for anyone operating in the virtual world - personal or professional. Presenter was motivated, intelligent, and well-prepared.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Instructor & Good Introduction Class Excellent Instructor and Good Introduction Class - An excellent instructor that provides insight for new virtual remote workers. A solid foundation, however, would like to see more content and thorough information added under this topic for modern-day professionals in the near future.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Interesting Topic - Needs More Content: ** Performance ***** I am very interested in this topic but I found that the information provided was very generic and common knowledge for anyone working from home in the last year. I would love to know more about how to make yourself and your work stand out, how to progress in your career, and how to network in the virtual world On the performance side, she is a skilled speaker and comes across well. She would definitely be an asset to the great courses, but the course would need to be developed beyond basic etiquette which most people have learned over a year of working from home to career advice and management in the virtual world

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very useful Plus Pilots! I found this pilots course to be very clear, important, and useful. I would definitely watch a Great Courses Plus course on this if it were expanded into a regular course.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More, Please I am a retired engineering manager. Another tip on e-mails: the last thing you do is fill out the to: section. Most e-mail editors won't automatically send an e-mail out with a missing to: section. Too many of our young people have not learned proper business etiquette. You're supposed to learn this from your parents, sitting around the dinner table, but this is not happening. Too many young people don't know: - how to write effective memos. When do you have to write a memo. - how to dress properly for the office (whether the expected dress is formal / conservative, semi-formal, business casual or messy / lab / shop. - how to properly answer the phone (whether it's your phone or a colleague's). Corporate policy can dictate what the greeting should be. - how to properly greet people, especially those of higher rank - how to behave at an office party or corporate function or other social function involving clients, colleagues and management. (Christmas party, corporate celebration, colleague's wedding, baby shower, etc.). - what to do if you make a mistake or have to deliver bad news at work - Generally, I prefer to do this face-to-face and then follow it up with a memo. - what to do about bullying at work. What to do if you witness it or are the victim. - Sexual harassment still happens. What to do if you witness it, hear about it or are the victim. - how to begin to handle serious problems: workplace bullying / harassment, unethical behavior, questionable business practices, etc. - how to conduct a job search while you are still working and reduce the risk of getting into trouble for doing this. Please consider producing a full course on business etiquette. The presenter is wonderful.

By examining what to do, how to do it, and most important, what not to do, you’ll learn how to avoid the most common pitfalls that lead to embarrassing situations.
